NOVEMBER: To prepare for the approaching winter months, lay out a light layer of compost over your lawn to lock in moisture. Keep the covering thin to avoid blocking too much sunlight.
Flowers to plant: Carnation, Cornflower, Dutch Iris,Ground Orchid, California Poppy and Sweet Pea
Vegetables to plant: Kale, Lettuce, Radish, Spinach
DECEMBER: Winter begins the maintenance phase of lawn care and gardening. Start pruning and putting out the frost blankets. Some hardier flowers can still flourish in colder months, consider varieties to keep color in your garden throughout winter months.
Flowers to plant: Snapdragons, Camellias, Pansies and flowering shrubs
Vegetables to plant: Onions, Lettuce
